Metro Rod has taken delivery of an RTN Clayton Vallely Gully Emptier.
The vehicle had been on hire with York City Council for nearly four years since it was originally manufactured. After four years of reliable service, the vehicle returned to RTN Clayton Vallely for a makeover and a new lick of paint. Also added were four plastic water tanks, mounted on either side of the main tank. These tanks were fitted to increase the overall capacity of the jetting water compartment.
The gully emptier provides an extremely compact but high performance unit, with vacuum and jetting systems, suction boom, two hose reels, controls on both sides of the vehicle, grid lifter and hydraulic opening rear door along with a tipping tank.
The vehicle is now out in daily service with its new owners.
